The 'PLUS' feature
Using on-line backup servers is not an entirely new idea. But as the number and size of our files increase, then ‘on-line’ systems may just not be enough – can you imagine uploading 100GB of data, when your upload speed may only be 128Mbs ? It would take days or even weeks. Worse still, what about getting it all back again !?
The optional ‘Plus’ feature from TLS is a unique service, where the initial ‘backup’ is made to a external hard disk – provided by TLS. Once the disk is back with TLS the encrypted data is then added to your account on the TLS servers. Then you run normal ‘on-line’ backups where the data is incrementally backed up.
Getting those 10’s or 100’s of gigabytes back is just as easy. You can download specific files ‘on-line’ - or you can request a ‘Plus’ restoration. A copy of your encrypted data is stored on an external hard disk and sent back to you, within 48 hours of your request. One free delivery of your restored data can be requested per year.
